Advanced Independence offers comprehensive programs to help adults with disabilities learn skills that will help them get employed and provide them with needed support.

Day Program for Adults (22 Years Old and / or Graduated From High School)
We have a Christian-based day program or day treatment for adults (DTA) that offers day options for adult individuals with disabilities, aged 18 years old and above.
This is designed to equip them with basic life, social, safety, and community skills such as:
- Accepting people for their differences
- Respecting one's self and others
- Being responsible for one's own words and actions
- Following directions and rules
- Problem-solving
We provide them with hands-on learning experience through recreation and community and education-based activities including having dinner in a restaurant, watching movies, going shopping, creating art, playing bowling, and going to the library.
Our goals are to maximize their current skills, initiate development of new skills, and decrease or eliminate those behaviors that are most challenging or disruptive to a productive and community filled life.
We encourage our day program participants to give back while assisting them with community integration through volunteer work with organizations.
Group-Supported Employment
We help adult individuals with disabilities learn how to evaluate their strengths and set realistic goals for the future through counseling, interest inventories, and mock interviews.
We also have transitional programs designed for our students to enhance their functional job skills, so they can grow socially and emotionally for a more productive and fulfilling life.
Both our onsite and offsite employment opportunities provide real-life situations to further develop their self-confidence and instill in them a sense of responsibility and independence.
Our group-supported employment group provides:
- Flyer distribution
- Residential cleaning
- Business cleaning

Advanced Independence

We teach our members how to take care of themselves and equip them with social and independent living skills.
